The hike starts in Ronda, city of Moorish origin built on steep cliffs and split by a deep gorge. Will need to get to Malaga, then take a train to Ronda, stay overnight and start fresh in the morning.

Was a an early start from Brno but all went smooth and got to Malaga by 10AM.

Then breakfast, stroll through Alameda street full of flower stalls, palm trees, and some bookshops:).

As I went with cabin luggage only, needed to get a cheap folding knife, good supply of figs, apricots, hazelnuts, some oats and tea for breakfasts. Having finished all the shopping, I go back to Malaga-Zambrano to get a train to Ronda.

The connection to Ronda requires changing trains in Antequerra. While it is only 20min till there, the change in landscape is substantial and the sky becomes much clearer. By looks of things, the sea clouds got blocked by Sierra Huma just after Alora.

Hotel Andalucia, just next to the train station, looks like a good value for money with a super friendly guy on the reception. Spend the rest of the afternoon sightseeing around Ronda, the gorge is deep and views of the bridge and the valley bellow Ronda are stunning.

Can’t wait till tomorrow, when the fun will start:)
